SurlyGirly Cosmetics, Inc. was created by friends Kristen Fairgrieve and Christine Vasquez. These two gals are such big makeup enthusiasts that people say they were born with lip gloss and lipstick in hand. As long as each can remember, they have been searching for cosmetics which reflected their personalities, and most importantly, contained the perfect formulas: make-up with high pigment colors and staying power throughout the day.

Kristen and Christine met six years ago. Upon first glance, they seem the most unlikely of friends; Kristen with her blonde hair, pink wardrobe and sweet Girly demeanor, and Christine with her black hair, black wardrobe and super Surly attitude. However, their love of life and cosmetics forged a friendship that gave them the inspiration to develop SurlyGirly.

SurlyGirly’s color palettes are derived from Kristen and Christine’s individualities, reflected in Christine’s Surly colors and Kristen’s Girly colors. Although the colors are radically different, they made sure each color palette worked well with the other, so mixing and matching are fun and easy.

Not only are the colors amazing, but the formulas are what they’ve been searching for all these years: eye shadows that don’t crease and stay on all day; lip glosses that feel like balm, not the slightest bit sticky; lipsticks that go on creamy and smooth, even the matte formulas; topped off with the perfect liners and mascaras.
